Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Blockapalooza (the "Site"), operated by Intergalactic Group LLC. By requesting access to or using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Site.

What Blockapalooza Is

Blockapalooza is a private, invitation-and-approval-based platform for residents of North Park Ave. It is not a public social network — access requires a host's approval, and the Site is intended only for people who actually live on, own property on, rent on, or have a genuine family connection to the block.

Access & Approval

Creating an account (via Google, Apple, email link, or a password) does not grant access to the Site's private content on its own. Every new account must be reviewed and approved by a host before it can see the directory, Trusted Contacts, Marketplace, Block Board, calendar, or photo gallery. Hosts may decline a request, ask follow-up questions, or remove access later if it was granted in error or if these terms are violated.

Your Account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit, and for keeping your sign-in method secure.
You may not create an account impersonating someone else, or submit an access request on behalf of someone without their knowledge.
Hosts can deactivate or remove an account or directory entry at their discretion — most commonly for inactive/incorrect entries, or conduct that violates these terms.

Acceptable Use

The Site exists to help neighbors connect, share trusted recommendations, coordinate events, and stay informed. When using it, you agree not to:

Harass, threaten, or post content about another resident that a reasonable person would find abusive.
Use the Emergency Alert feature for anything other than a genuine emergency.
Post spam, commercial advertising unrelated to a genuine Marketplace listing, or solicit residents on behalf of an outside business without disclosure.
Scrape, copy, or redistribute directory information, Trusted Contact details, or other resident data outside the Site.
Attempt to access the Site's private content without an approved account, or attempt to circumvent the access-approval process.

Content You Post

You own what you post (recommendations, listings, photos, Block Board posts, etc.), but by posting it you give Blockapalooza permission to display it to other approved residents as part of normal Site operation. You're responsible for what you post — recommendations, in particular, reflect your own opinion, not the Site's endorsement.

Admins may remove any content that violates these terms, and photos uploaded to the community gallery are reviewed before appearing publicly.

Trusted Contacts & Marketplace

Trusted Contact recommendations and Marketplace listings are provided by residents, for residents. Blockapalooza does not vet, insure, or guarantee any vendor, service, or item listed, and is not a party to any transaction between residents or between a resident and a recommended vendor. Use your own judgment.

No Warranty

The Site is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any information on it (including emergency alerts) is complete or timely. Emergency alerts sent through the Site are a neighbor-to-neighbor courtesy, not a substitute for calling 911 in an actual emergency.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Intergalactic Group LLC and Blockapalooza are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, including disputes between residents, transactions arranged through the Marketplace, or reliance on content posted by other users.

Changes

We may update these terms as the Site evolves. We'll update the date at the top when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
